The Sculptor

Gilbert is a self taught wood sculptor who began experimenting with woodworking at an early age.

Growing up in a family and community where woodworking was common ,there were no shortage of inspiration.

My inclination however was towards sculpting rather than the cut & join of carpentry , because even at such an early age there was a level of comfort and mastery using hand tools . As a result I did not prioritize formal training in this field .
